Haryana Government on Friday offered land to Indo-UK Institute of Health for execution of ambitious medical projects in the state.
To provide world-class medical services to the people of the state, Haryana Government had earlier this year inked an agreement with Indo-UK Healthcare Private limited to establish medical institutions with proposed investment of Rs 1,000 crore.
A four-member delegation of Indo-UK Institute of Health, led by chairman, Prof. Mike Parker on Friday called on Haryana Chief Secretary DS Dhesi and urged him to take up execution of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with a view to increase cooperation in the health sector during the ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit-2016’.
The Chief Secretary welcomed the delegation and informed them about the possibilities for investment and facilities being provided under the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Policy-2015.
During the meeting, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), Sudhir Rajpal, informed that appropriate locations in Sonepat, Sohna, Panipat and Faridabad were available with the Corporation under its land pool in industrial estates. He said that the delegation may select any of these locations.
The project is expected to generate employment for 3,000 persons.
Under the MoU, Haryana Government would facilitate Indo-UK Healthcare Private limited to obtain necessary permissions, registrations, approvals and clearances for the project from the Departments concerned in order to ensure the establishment of the project in a time-bound manner.
This would be done as per the existing policies and rules and regulations of the State Government. The project is likely to commence in 2017.
