Unnatural death case (UD case) in police parlance is now to be converted into a case of murder in the Haidernagar police station where in this outgoing week two female bodies were fished out from a well at village Pithoutiya under this police station.
Stating this Superintendant of Police (SP) Palamu Indrajeet Mahatha said police have now decided to convert this UD case into a murder case under section 302 of IPC.
Mahatha said this decision to convert the FIR from a Un natural death case to murder case is based on the report of the post mortem.
Police had fished out two bodies one of a female and the other of a girl in just one well.
Sources said the two were not related to each other and both were missing from their respective homes since December 22. Three days later their bodies were found.
Superintendant of Police Palamu said the post mortem report mentioned death of the two females as caused by loss of breathing and by profuse internal bleeding.
SP categorically said the post mortem report did not hint at death by drowning.
In death by drowning there is bound to be water in the lungs.
Here in the case of these two deceased the post mortem report is silent over water in the lungs.
Sources said there is every possibility that the two were done to death first and then dumped in a well.
Mahatha said the post mortem did not find any trace of rape of either of the two or of both.
Police have identified two suspects in this case and are trying to zero in on them soon.
SP said the Haidernagar police have been directed to crack this murder mystery by all means.
