The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that gross irregularities have been committed in the cooperative housing societies in the State due to which beneficiaries are getting cheated.
AAP state convener Alok Agarwal said, “If Cooperatives minister of the state Gopal Bhargawa is to be believed than it appears that chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Home Minister Babulal Gaur are trying to the save the accused.”
There are about 2129 housing cooperative societies in the state of them 1100 have committed fraud with their members besides 400 such societies have committed irregularities in allotment of plots to the beneficiaries. When the beneficiaries lodged complaint against the fraud and scam then the Panchayat and Rural Development and Cooperatives minister Bhargawa assured to get the scam investigate by the Special Task Force (STF) and informed through the news papers that he has written a note sheet in this regard to the General Administration Department (GAD) and Home Department but the GAD and Home department are not taking any action over it.
Here it is noteworthy that the GAD is with chief minister Chouhan and it is Chouhan who is saving the accused from the STF enquiry.
This because it was Chouhan who distributed 350 plots of Jankalyan Housing Cooperative Society in 2010 to the members and also provided certificates to the beneficiaries, but the possession of the plots has not been given till now to the members. Similar are the issues with other societies.
Agarwal said when there is no hearing of the minister of stature of Bhargawa than it could well be assumed what would be the condition of common man in the state.
