For the third time in less than a month the heroes of grand alliance of Bihar including RJD chief lalu Prasad Yadav, JD (U) chief Sharad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will attend the grand marriage reception party of Shivpal Yadav's son Aditya in Delhi on April 2 in Delhi.
The leaders of Bihar had attended the marriage of Aditya at Saifai on March 10 and later a reception held here in lucknow on March 13. These leaders are likely to attend the jamboree in Delhi also to be organised by the former Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh.
Samajwadi party sources said Amar Singh, who is in wilderness ever since he was expelled from the party in January 2010, has organised the reception in Delhi to demonstrate his political clout. Amar Singh along with SP chief Mulayam Singh had gone to Rashtrapati Bhawan to invite the President Pranab Mukherjee for the marriage reception. SP sources said prime minister Narendra Modi, finance minister Arun Jaitly and other top leaders of the BJP and the Congress shave been invited for the reception.
Sources said reception for the Shivpal Yadav’s son organised by Amar Singh will serve several political purposes for the former general secretary of the Samajwadi party. The huge gathering of the political leaders cutting across the political divide will not add to his stature by also honour his political mentor Mulayam Singh Yadav. Moreover with this show Amar Singh will be able to demonstrate his clout within the first family of the Samajwadi party and also silence his detractors within the party who are not enthused by the idea of his return to the party.
Sources said Shivpal Yadav, the younger brother of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav is keen the end the suspense over the return of Amar Singh to the party/family at the earliest as the state assembly elections are less than a year away.
Shivpal Yadav is lobbying hard for the return of Amar Singh to the party, but his re-entry is being strongly opposed by the senior muslim leader and minority affairs minister Azam Khan and SPs general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav. Party sources said Amar Singh entry in Rajya Sabha as an independent candidate supported by the Samajwadi party is now a fait accompali. In July next as many as 10 Rajya Sabha members of Rajya Sabha from UP are retiring and Samajwadi party can easily return 6 members on its strength in the state assembly.
