Gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 1 lakh were burgled from Ganpati Enclave under Kolar police station area on Tuesday. The burglary took place in broad daylight when the victim and his family went to Shirdi.
According to the police, the victim, Ramkishore Sharma, had gone to Shirdi in Maharashtra with his
family and when they returned at around 8 pm on June 27 the house was found ransacked and valuables were found missing.
A complaint was lodged with the Kolar police and in the complaint victim has claimed that he along with his family had gone to Shirdi on June 22 and when they returned on June 27 the house was found ransacked.
The total loss in the burglary is around Rs 1 lakh in which gold and silver jewelry and cash was found missing in the burglary claimed the victim. In the initial investigation neighbours have expressed ignorance over the burglary.
Victim is a retired employee of Public Work Department and was living with his family at Ganpati Enclave which was targeted by the miscreants.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the nearby CCTV cameras would be searched in the investigation.
The domestic help, security guard and locals would be questioned as the burglary took place in the broad day light and possibility of the miscreants been spotted is more.
