The Bhopal crime branch nabbed four miscreants involved in stealing and disposing of two-wheelers. Four vehicles worth Rs 2 lakh were recovered from their possession on Monday.
Two youths were nabbed while they tried to escape vehicle checking in Talaiya area. After questioning them they confessed that the bike was stolen from Arera Colony three months ago. Police acted after receiving a tip off regarding two youths with a bike without registration number.
The two were identified as Kapil Kanare (27) Idgah Hills and Shantilal (30) of Vajpayee Nagar. Kapil has been booked by Shahjehanabad police in two cases of arms act and bullying.
In the initial investigation when the two were questioned they confessed that they have sold Hero Honda Karizma motorbike to Shahrukh at Rs 12,000 which was stolen from GAD square while around 20 days ago a Bajaj Discover motorbike was stolen from Alpana trisection and sold the bike to Rafe at Rs 8,000. Two motorbikes were recovered from their possession.
The two used to work as labour and on their way back to home they would target two wheelers and using master key they would steal the motorbikes.
Based on the information regarding the two persons who bought the vehicle were nabbed and were identified as Mohammad Shahrukh (19) and Mohammad Rafe alias Sohail (19) of Vajpayee Nagar.
Shahrukh works at a mobile repairing shop while Rafe is a automobile mechanic. The four vehicles were stolen from Habibganj, Koh-e-Fiza, Mangalwara and Kotwali areas.
