Members of the Right to Fight, a Kantabanji-based socio-cultural organisation, led by Ashis Khaitan and Kanwaljit Jeet Singh Makhija staged a dharna at the Collectorate here on Tuesday demanding filling up of vacant doctor posts in the Kantabanji CHC.
‘We had begun an indefinite strike on October 24 demanding filling up vacant doctor posts and creation of adequate infrastructure at the CHC. We withdrew the strike after getting assurance from authorities. later, Dr KS Kumar was posted on deputation, but his posting was cancelled after 10 days,’ lamented agitators.
The members submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister NaveenPattnaik through the district Collector.
