Fearing failure in Class X examination, a 17-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling from a tree in Rampura Khurd village under Berasia police station area on Tuesday.
According to the police the deceased Sher Singh was found hanging and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Police were informed and based on the information a police team rushed to the spot and started investigation.
The deceased went missing on Tuesday and was find hanging in the morning on Wednesday. The deceased was a student of class 10th.
Investigating Officer ASI Kl Sunhare said that the deceased used to stay at Bhopal and was pursuing his studies. This was his third attempt as he was not able to clear the examination in the earlier two attempts.
In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased used to remain depressed over the examination results and he was questioned regarding the results which might have frustrated him to the level where he took the extreme step and committed suicide but nothing could be ascertained as the statements of the family members are yet to be recorded and the post mortem report is awaited.
The family members and locals have claimed that the deceased used to remain depressed after he returned from Bhopal on the completion of the examinations.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police. The deceased went missing on Tuesday and was found dead in the morning on Wednesday.
