On the occasion of Biju Patnaik birth centenary, a Biju Patnaik Memorial Cycle Yatra would be held on May 1.
The preparation for the Yatra is at the final stage, informed Biju Patnaik Birth Centenary Committee convener Bed Prakash Agrawal at a Press meet on Friday.
The Yatra would be organised at all district headquarters and people cutting across party line would participate in it, he said.
When Biju Patnaik was a student at the Ravenshaw College in 1932, he embarked upon an adventurous journey on a bicycle all the way from Cuttack to Peshawar, a distance of 4, 500 km with two of his friends Amar and Bhramarbar Sahu. To rewind the memory, this Yatra would be organised, Agrawal added.
The Yatra would start at 7 am and end at 9 am.
