Children from Chhura block of the district reached the Collectorate and met the District Collector Niranjan Das here on Monday.
The visit was part of a programme to provide exposure to the children living in remote villages of the district. The children shared their experiences with the Collector.
Das while lauding the programme launched by a social welfare organisation asked the children to participate in extra curricular activities.
The children from villages like Tilaidadar, Kacchardih, Vijay Nagar and Samalpara located in Chhura block were selected for the programme.
The children also expressed happiness after meeting the Collector.
According to Kumari Kosma, Rajendra Kumar and Rukmini met the Collector for the first time, now wish to join Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
Before meeting the Collector they had visited several places in the district.
