The State police are all set to start direct recruitment of women sub-inspectors (civil police) for 150 posts and women constables for 1,000 posts. State DGP BS Sidhu said that interested candidates for the above posts can submit their applications between February 1 and March 1, 2016 at the district police headquarters.
Applicants who come under the age group of 21-28 years on January 1, 2016 and who also meet other requirements mentioned in the advertisement can submit forms for the posts of SI.
Candidates can submit their forms at any of the 13 district headquarters for the posts of SI.
The applicants in the age group of 18-25 years who fulfil other requirements too can submit their forms at the district police office for the posts of constables. The candidates will have to go through a written test, physical test, medical test and verification of their identification and residence.
Various districts have been allocated fixed seats for women constables. The direct recruitment of woman constables will be held for 61 posts in Almora, 26 in Bageshwar, 39 in Chamoli, 26 in Champawat, 168 in Dehradun, 190 in Haridwar, 94 in Nainital, 48 each in Pithoragarh and Pauri, 23 in Rudraprayag, 61 in Tehri, 163 in Udham Singh Nagar and 33 in Uttarkashi.
However, the candidates should be permanent residents of Uttarakhand and should have been enrolled in employment exchange office during the period meant for the submission of their forms. They are also required to submit the documents as asked for in the advertisement along with their forms at the district police headquarters.
