Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal dedicated and laid foundation of developmental works to the tune of around Rs 4.06 crore in four wards of Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) during lok Suraj Abhiyan on Friday.
As per information received, developmental works to the tune of around Rs 2 crore will be carried out in Shahid Brigadier Usman Ward, Swami Vivekananda Ward (Rs 98 lakh), Moulana Abdul Rauf Ward (Rs 59 lakh) and Sadar Bazaar Ward (Rs 60.64 lakh).
Addressing the gathering, Agrawal said “development is a continuous process. On priority basis, Chhattisgarh government and RMC will be approving development and construction works for ensuring basic infrastructure for the people here.”
Meanwhile, he also called upon people to take requisite steps for maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings, ensure water conservation and protection to public property.
Raipur is evolving like a metro city and people residing here have to realize their responsibilities like residents of metropolitan cities, stated Agrawal.
Presiding over the programme, Raipur Mayor Pramod Dubey said the State government and RMC have launched a campaign for shaping Raipur as Smart City.
Due to continuous effort of the Agriculture Minister, RMC is consecutively receiving approval of fund for undertaking developmental works in different wards.
