For success of lok Suraj Abhiyan, Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) has deployed ‘cultural troupes’ for taking up the task of highlighting information about different schemes and campaign launched by the State government in the interest of the citizens.
Under this move, the RMC organised a cultural programme in zone-2 on Friday. On the occasion, the cultural troops attempted to spread awareness among people about water conservation and also highlighted the importance of using toilet.
The programme was attended by Raipur Mayor Pramod Dubey and MlA (Raipur north) Shrichand Sundarani.
Meanwhile, the cultural troupes have presented a street play displaying importance of water conservation, construction of toilets and cleanliness in surrounding. Besides, they also presented musical performances. Impressed by the performance of artists, Mayor Dubey awarded them with cash prize.
