CS directs to hand over trauma centres by March 31

Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan has directed that remaining two trauma centers out of 21 under-construction trauma centers should also be handed over by Thursday March 31 as 19 trauma centers had been already handed over. He said that since nine trauma centers had been operationilsed, process of purchase of equipment and creation of posts should be completed at the earliest in order to operationalize 12 remaining trauma centers as soon as possible. He directed the health department to complete the construction of 100-bed maternity wings in 43 women hospitals out of 50 by October next. He said that efforts should be made to finish the construction of maternity wings in remaining seven women hospitals by October. 

Presiding over the review meeting of the Project Monitoring Group here on Wednesday he directed for opening of financial bids within the specified time and to start the work on underground stretch of lucknow Metro rail from Charbagh to K D Singh Babu Stadium in first week of June. To ensure operationalization of lucknow metro rail by stipulated time, he asked to publish the results of advertised posts by April and to impart the training to selected candidates in the month of May. 

Reviewing the progress of major river bridges and railway over-bridges (RoB), he directed to accelerate the construction by regular monitoring. He said that Gopiganj – Gyanpur road linking Ballia should be completed by March 31, besides completion of Banda – Chitrakoot road by June next.  

A presentation on ‘Planning suitable security strategy for lucknow Metro: An overview and plan’ was made before the Chief Secretary. He directed lucknow Development Authority for transfer of 156 acre land identified in CG City to lucknow metro as soon as possible. 

Expressing satisfaction over completion of Etawah – Mainpuri road and the road  linking Kaushambi and Kushinagar, Chief Secretary said that Rae Bareli – Pratapgarh road, linking Pratapgarh, should be completed by June  next  and that linking Pilibhit should be completed by July next . He directed for issuance of government orders as a result of revised estimation of 10 major bridges, like Saidpur Sakaldiha road on Ganga River in Ghazipur, Kakadva Ghat Bridge on Ganga River near Jamania town, bridge on Ganga River at Bhatauli Ghat on Mirzapur – Varanasi road. 

He asked for government orders on revised estimation of bridge on Ramnagar road opposite entry gate of Banaras Hindu University and Balua Ghat bridge on Dhanapur – Chahnia road.
