Condemning the suspension of Central University of Jharkhand Dean Professor Shreya Bhattacharya allegedly for inviting JNU professor NM Panini on 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel, Congress national spokesperson Ajoy Kumar alleged that it was an attempt to suppress the voice of intellectuals by the RSS-led BJP Government in the country.
lambasting the NDA governments both at the Centre and in Jharkhand, Kumar said that both of them, in last one and a half years, have failed to deliver on every front.
“I cannot understand that under which mentality they are trying to suppress the voice of intellectuals across the country,” said Kumar. These things are being done at the behest of RSS and BJP under a conspiracy against those who are raising their voices against them, alleged Kumar.
The Congress leader, while talking to mediapersons, also advocated for a separate recruitment policy for the people of this state limiting third and fourth grade jobs to the block level.
“A rational and lawful recruitment policy must be framed for the people of this state where the vacancies should be created for the people of the said block only in the third and fourth grade jobs,” he said.
Referring to the deteriorating law and order situation across the State, Kumar alleged that senior officials of the state police have been engaged in protocol duty due to which the law and order remains neglected in the State.
“Since most of the IAS and IPS officials have been deputed in protocol of the Chief Minister and other ministers close to him, there is no one left to hear the grievances of the poor in the State. I request the Chief Minister to focus on the law and order,” added Kumar.
