Deputy Development Commissioner of Hazaribagh Rajesh Kumar Pathak on Saturday chaired the review meeting of all the schemes going on in the blocks specially the Indira Awas Yojna and MGNREGA. He directed the block officials to complete the incomplete schemes within a fortnight and to make entries in the formats supplied by the government as soon as possible.
Reviewing the progress of Indira Awas Yojna, the DDC looked dissatisfied with the progress reports of many blocks. He specially directed the block officials to furnish detailed reports regarding the name of beneficiaries, their land details, unique identity number, bank details etc. before 1st of November. Reminding the target given to every block in this fiscal year he directed the officials to start work at war level so that it can be achieved within given timeframe.
Regarding MGNREGA schemes he directed the officials to furnish details of dobha construction work, new plans of construction of dobhas, construction of wells and other concerned activities in his office within a week. He also talked about the schemes recommended by the peoples’ representatives specially MPs and MlAs using their discretionary fund. He assured the block officials that funds will be released within a fortnight.
During this review meeting he was unhappy with the reports of Chouparan and Barkagaon and directed the block development officers to send proposal of suspension of their program officers. He also advised the block officials to take hard steps against all those government servants who are not taking their job seriously. Talking with the lead bank manager, he requested to speed up the process of linking the UID number of MNREGA workers with their bank account and to open new accounts of all those having joint account earlier.
