Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan suggested that the eight under-trial SIMI activists, who were killed in an encounter in the city last month, were termed as terrorists because of the perception of their guilt.
He termed the eight SIMI men killed in the encounter as terrorists saying, “...because of acts, perception is formed... acts in the past are known to society and the nation....”
“There is a certain perception about certain people and this perception is based on their past deeds. I don’t want to go into technical details about the whole case but would say it is the duty of the State to protect its citizens from anyone who is a threat to them,” he added.
