CM reviews preparations for Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that 'Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan' is an ambitious campaign for upliftment of villages and the poor. Action plan for the campaign from April 14 to May 31 will be sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will launch it.

The Chief Minister reviewed preparations for 'Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan' here today. He apprised himself of its action plan. He directed to ensure during the campaign that all eligible beneficiaries get benefits of schemes and basic amenities and services reach ground level. Action plan to be chalked out on the basis of data collected during the campaign will be a development roadmap for coming years.

The Chief Minister directed to ensure participation of public representatives in the prestigious campaign. He himself, ministers and officers from state to village level will visit villages during the campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the campaign on 125th birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar from Mhow on April 14. A video-conferencing will be held to associate all with the campaign. He said that during this period places should be identified for plantation under Hariyali Mahotsav. Besides, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao Yojana should also be widely publicized. This campaign would change scenario of villages.

CS Shri Anthony de Sa informed that action plan for the campaign has been chalked out under it, 3 Gram Sabhas will be held on 3 consecutive days at every Gram Panchayat from April 15 to May 15. On the first day, plan for village development will be chalked out including drinking water, sanitation and construction of water structures.

Action will be taken on beneficiary-oriented schemes on the second day and agriculture action plan would be chalked out on the third day. During the campaign, Kisan Sabha, women's health check-up camps and cultural competitions will also be held. Villagers will be apprised of welfare schemes whose factual position will also be learnt. Action plan would be chalked out to double farmers income and open discussions will be held on village development.

Nodal Officers at Gram Panchayat level, supervising officers at block level and zonal officers will be deployed to implement the campaign. They will also be trained. Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and other officers attended the meeting.
