Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Tuesday asked the Administrative Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners to launch a Statewide drive to educate the people how to make cashless transactions through certain consumer friendly applications.
“The State Government has decided to introduce a daily award scheme to encourage those who would get themselves registered on Unified Payments Interface (UPI), Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) and other modes of cashless transactions. We can move from less cash to cashless transactions,” said the Chief Minister.
Addressing the Deputy Commissioners through a video conference to popularise cashless transactions, Manohar lal asked them to work on a war footing level for atleast seven days to ensure a cashless society in the state.
He said that all the officers should commit themselves for this cause and teach their personal staff about the usage of UPI and USSD and other modes of cashless transactions so as to ensure that these banking applications could be utilized for all kind of transactions.
