The 46th anniversary of the Centre of Indian Trade Union (CITU) was observed at Netajinagar of Vyasanagar on Monday.
CITU Jajpur district president Prafulla Nayak hoisted the flag of the union here. Others who participated included scribes Dushmanta Rout, and Biswaranjan Patnaik, union leader Dhirendra Behera, lalmani Munda, Bijayalaxmi Mohanty, Hasina Bibi, Kumari Mukhi, Sriram Soren, Rama Chandra Murmu, Balaram Nayak, Chaitanya Majhi and Rajendra Swain, among others.
They spoke about the role of CITU for shake of labour class people.
Nayak urged to host the 15th all India conference of CITU at Puri in November and announced a nationwide strike by 11 trade unions in September.
