Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's hoardings not only in Simhastha Mela area, but throughout the country inviting people to Simhastha have been drawing encomiums. Besides, the Chief Minister's hoardings welcoming pilgrims and devotees arriving in Simhastha Mela area are also being lauded. Though the Chief Minister has proved himself as a better host in programmes in the state, but these hoardings giving invitation and extending welcome have won the hearts of saints, seers and devotees.
Rajesh Mishra from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh said, 'Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Chouhan is very simple, amicable and religious person'. Ghanshyam Rathi from Khargone in Nimar region of the state said, 'No one can resist from coming to Simhastha when he is invited by the Chief Minister and called by Mata Kshipra and Baba Mahakal'.
Student Shishir Shukla and his friends from Indore said that they took the holy dip at Ramghat and went round Mela. Referring to participation of large number of foreigners in arrangements and Simhastha, they said, 'Chief Minister's initiative has turned Ujjain Simhastha into a global religious event.'
Meanwhile, saints and seers are also availing benefit of Department of Post's popular My Stamp scheme during Simhastha-2016 at Ujjain. Specially, Ramesh Bhai Ojha, Avdheshanandji , Murari Bapu, Dadu Maharaj etc have got printed postal stamps carrying their photographs. A sheet containing 12 postal stamps carrying a person's photograph is provided for Rs 300.
Along with this novel initiative, Department of Post has also released a special cover for Simhastha-2016 to commemorate the mega event.
