Central Coalfields limited has felicitated Rajiv Gauba, Chief Secretary, Jharkhand Government at Hotel Radisson Blue, Ranchi on Tuesday evening. A grand felicitation ceremony was held in Gauba’s honour in which Gopal Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCl, senior bureaucrats and others were present.

The Chief Guest of function, Rajiv Gauba in his address said that CCl has been playing main role in meeting energy requirement of nation. There has been significant growth of coal production in CCl, leading to increase of coal stock in various north based power plants, particularly Utter Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab etc. He acknowledged the collective contribution of each stakeholders leading to growth of state.

Gauba further said that there has been joint venture of CCl and Jharkhand Government for setting up Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society (JSSPS) in which meritorious players of Jharkhand and other states will be given free training, education etc., and this is a big and tangible contribution in the field of CSR by CCl. He hoped that this good relation between Jharkhand and CCl will continue in future. The Chief Secretary said that under leadership of Gopal Singh many Greenfields projects have been started like Magadh, Amrapali etc.

On this occasion, Gopal Singh said that CCl has been in ladder of growth due to support from the state government. He cited the support of state government how land authentication has been increased in last three years and particularly in current fiscal 2015-16, the state government has authenticated 10289 acre of land. He also talked about the forest clearance of various projects and improved law and order during the tenure of Chief Secretary.

Senior IAS Officer, N N Pandey also talked about growth in various sectors under the guidance of Rajiv Gouba. Various cultural programme was also performed during the felicitation ceremony. D K Pandey, DGP (Jharkhand), senior IAS officials and directors of CCl and others were also present to grace the occasion.
