Case against pharmacy for dispensing wrong drug

Gautam Nagar police have booked a medical store owner for providing wrong medicine which caused reaction on a four-year-old boy's face on Monday.

Police said the victim Alishaan got reaction over his face after he used the wrong medicine provided by a medical store owner.

Police said the victim's father Faheem had gone to purchase cream prescribed by a doctor for his son Alishaan at Shiv medical store at DIG Bungalow area and after the shop owner failed to find the correct medicine he denied of having the cream and later provided other cream to Faheem. He took the cream and applied it over the affected parts but instead of providing relief it augmented the problem and reaction across the face occurred.

In the initial investigation police found the victim was facing pimples problem and for its treatment his father took him to a doctor who prescribed medicines for the victim and when the cream was applied over the face reaction occurred over the face. Faheem took the victim to the doctor who told him that the cream which he prescribed was different and the medical shop owner had provided him wrong medicine. A complaint was lodged by the victim's father with the Gautam Nagar police and in his complaint he stated the providing of wrong medicine by the medical shop owner Shiv Pratap.
