Olacabs.com cofounder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal and Skill Development Authority Chairman Subroto Bagchi visited the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) on Wednesday. Mil Mantra founder-CEO Srikumar Misra was also present as a guest.
Bagchi spoke about the importance of entrepreneurs seeking to create and deliver value, instead of overly focusing on valuation. Businesses should strive to make the world a better place. Businesses can’t succeed if societies fail, he added.
Bhavish Aggarwal spoke about his entrepreneurial journey and the challenges he faced along the way. He spoke of the positive change in mindsets with regard to the way entrepreneurship is now being perceived in the country.
Speaking about Olacabs.com, he said that one of their greatest strengths is that they always try to understand what consumers want and work backwards from there to fulfil those needs.
He also said that there needs to be a risk-taking and experimental approach from players in this industry because we need more innovators and problem solvers who can create value for the society at large.
