Bokaro Police bust cyber criminal gang, arrest two

The Bokaro Police on Wednesday busted a gang allegedly involved in cyber frauds by arresting its two members while one is still at large.

Police arrested Aditya Kumar Soni and Jitender Nisad, both presently residing at Old Ranchi while one of their associates Suraj Ouraon, resident of Piska More Ranchi, is still absconding. All of them are involved in an ATM fraud, said YS Ramesh SP Bokaro.

Disclosing the modus operandi SP said, after changing the ATM card they made several online purchases and withdrew Rs5,28,500 from the SBI account of Makshud Miyan, a resident of Friday Bazar under Gandhi Nagar police station of Bokaro district, said SP.

Police also recovered two lCD TV (127 cm and 80 cm), gold ornaments, one mobile phone, which was purchased through online payment by that ATM card, he said adding “police also seized Rs3,500 from them which was withdrawn through the card”.

A police team conducted raid and the two were arrested, said SP. “Investigations are on to nab Suraj at the earliest”, he added.
