A man in the age group of 23-30 years was found dead under suspicious circumstances on railway tracks at Vidhya Nagar under Bagh Sewania police station area on Friday.
According to the police, panic prevailed in the area after a man was found dead and locals informed the police after spotting the deceased around noon and on the receipt of the information a police team reached to the spot and started investigation.
In the initial investigation, the police were not able to establish the identity of the deceased. Nothing which could help in establishing the identity of the deceased was found by the police which raises suspicion that the deceased might have been killed and to evade by concealing the identity all things related to identity of the deceased were removed.
Possibility of accidental death could not be ruled out but nothing could be ascertained at the moment as the post mortem report is awaited and no information regarding the deceased has been found in the initial investigation.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. Police said that the deceased died of head injuries as the head was completely broken in the accident.
The deceased was in an inebriated state or not could be confirmed after the receiving of the post mortem report. All the nearby police stations have been informed regarding the deceased which could help in establishing the identity of the deceased.
