With BJP gearing up for its Mission 265+ Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah will increase their forays in Uttar Pradesh holding separate meetings and rallies across the state in coming weeks.
In July Prime Minister will hold two rallies – one in Kanpur and other in Gorakhpur – dates of which will be finalized within a week’s time. In Gorakhpur Modi will lay the foundation stone of proposed AIIMS like hospital while in Kanpur he will visit the campus of IIT.
PM was earlier slated to participate in IIT Kanpur function on July 15 but senior BJP leaders vouch that this date is tentative. “The PMO has not given a final date. Besides the state BJP unit of BJP will be holding its state executive meeting from July 16. The confirmation of date is likely to come in couple of days,” the leader said.
The PM will also hold a rally at the end of this month somewhere in Bundelkhand, BJP sources said adding that the detail of this programme is also awaited.
The BJP is on the upswing after a series of successful booth level meetings which are addressed by party national president Amit Shah. “These meetings are a grand success. Over 25000 workers are attending these meetings. There is enthusiasm among workers and this is palpable in these meetings,” BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak told The Pioneer here on Wednesday.
He said that series of such meetings will be held in near future too. Shah is also likely to have an interaction with district level party workers. The aim of the party is to engage its workers in organizational meetings, Pathak said.
In between the party will hold dharnas outside police stations across the state to highlight law and order situation in the state. local level leaders will be asked to lead these demonstrations. These protests will be held sometimes in first week of next month, Pathak said.
