An unbeaten century haul by Santanu Mishra guided Bhubaneswar-A (BBSR) to a commanding 221 for 3 at day one against Cuttack-A in their three-day semifinal match of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Wednesday.
Batting first, opener Santanu stitched 110 for second wicket along with Prasant Bhoi (55). He remain unbeaten with Gourav Mohapatra (42) by contributing 65 runs for fourth wicket and team total reached 212 for 3.
In another semifinal match, opener Debasish Samantray (75) and Santosh Debakanta (77) of BBSR-B made a perfect platform for the team to set huge target against Rourkela. BBSR-A scored 237 for 3 at day one stumps.
Second wicket partnership Shantanu and Prasant Bhoi 110 and unbeaten fourth wicket partnership between Sgantanu and Gourav Mohapatra 65 runs.
Opening partnership between Debasish Samantray and Santosh Debakanta contributed 159 runs.
