Malaria has claimed as many as 61 lives in Bastar division between 2014-15 and February 22 this year, Health and Family Welfare Minister Ajay Chandrakar on Wednesday informed Chhattisgarh Assembly.
In a written reply to the question of Congress member lakheshwar Baghel, the Health Minister informed that around 142736 cases of malaria had surfaced in Bastar division between 2014-15 and February 22, 2016.
The division has recorded 61 cases of malaria death.
In aforementioned period, 43900 mosquito nets were distributed in Jagdalpur block and 40000 nets in Keshkal block, he informed.
