Haryana senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Ashok Khemka on Wednesday said that it was "humiliating" for him to hold a lower-rank post as he is waiting for positing after promotion in January.
Expressing his disappointment, Khemka took to Twitter and posted, “Awaiting posting on promotion for last 3 months. Holding a lower rank post is humiliating. like a lt Gen forced to hold post of Brigadier.”
Khemka had hit national headlines in October 2012 when he cancelled the mutation of a Rs 58-crore land deal between Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra and realty giant DlF and ordered a probe into controversial land deals in Haryana.
The senior IAS officer's actions even attracted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's attention in his speeches during the Haryana assembly elections in October 2014.
