The law and order situation in UP took a further dip when armed miscreants intercepted a car in Bulandshar, robbed the occupants of cash and valuables before raping three women occupants including a minor.
The male members who tried to resist were severely beaten up. The injured were admitted to District Hospital but no breakthrough could be made till late Saturday evening.
As per reports, a family comprising two brothers, their wives and a 13-year-old daughter werereturning from Noida to their native Kalan hamlet of Shahjahenpur on their car when some miscreants threw an iron rod in front of the vehicle near a flyover in Kotwali dehat police station areaof Bulundshahr in the wee hours of Saturday.
Suspecting some damage to the vehicle as the driver stopped the vehicle, over half a dozen miscreants suddenly emerged from the darkness taking the family at gun point.
The robbers deprived the occupants of ornaments, valuables worth several lakh rupees and Rs 12,000 in cash and latertried to molest the female members. When the male occupants resisted, the criminals brutally assaulted them. They later gang raped the three females including the minor inside the car and fled the scene.
The hapless family somehow informed the villagers who later called the police. Butit took everl hours before the senior officers could reached the spot. A case was registered in this regard and teams were formed to track down the criminals and bring them to justice.
Meanwhile in Shamli, a minor girl was gang raped late on Friday evening. A 15-year-old girl from Khedi Karsu hamlet in Kotwali Shamli was heading to a local market late on Friday evening when she wasintercepted by herneighbours Susheel, Mohit Kashyap and lokendra. Theydagged the girl inside a vacant house and gang raped her. Before releasing her, they threatened to kill her if she revealed their names.
When the girl did not return till late in the night, the family members searched for her and were shocked to find her in a disheveled state. They took her to hospital and later lodged a case upon learning of the incident. A case was registered and one of the accused - Susheel, was arrested. Efforts were on to nab the others miscreants.
