The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday demanded a Crime Branch inquiry into the alleged misuse of MlA lAD funds by Patnagarh BJP MlA KV Singh Deo.
AAP State convener Nishikant Mohapatra, at a Press meet here, alleged that the MlA lAD fund was diverted to an NGO ‘Help line’ managed by Singh Deo’s daughter Nibhruti Kumari to set up a hospital.
“land has been taken away from poor people on the pretext of giving jobs in the hospital at Karlmal village under Khaprakhol block in Balangir district and MlA lAD money has been spent there,” alleged AAP Balangir in-charge Ajaya Das.
Das said the Help line has also grabbed seven acre of land to build a college from Kurusud village of Sindhekela tehsil on false promise of giving jobs.
AAP, Odisha secretary Nandlal Singh, Barada Mishra, Syamananda Mohapatra and youth president Subrat Chhotai were present at the meet.
