Aam Aadmi Party on Friday alleged Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal of creating his “private Army” for its misuse in the upcoming Assembly polls.
“Sukhbir’s secret recruitment in the Intelligence cadre of Punjab Police is nothing else but a creation of his ‘private army’ for its use in the upcoming polls,” said AAP’s Punjab convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich (Ghuggi).
He said: “It is highly deplorable that in the garb of recruitment in the special intelligence cadre, Sukhbir is creating his private army for misuse during poll.”
Claiming that out of 22 youths recruited so far, 21 belong to the Sukhbir’s
assembly segment, Jalalabad, Ghuggi urged the
Election Commission to take notice of it and claimed
that it was a political gimmick.
“Sukhbir Badal will use this army to covert and overt operation during polls at the cost of state’s exchequer,” he said, while demanding an immediate ban on this special force.
“It is nothing else, but a political gimmick to extend political bribe to the people to woo them for their use during ensuing Assembly polls,” he said.
