More than 300 BJP workers of Riamal block in Deogath district led by party district observer and Athhamalick MlA Sanjeev Sahu on Friday joined the BJD at the Naveen Niwas here at a special function.
BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while welcoming them said the BJD Government is working to safeguard the interests of the common people. Due to their joining, the party would be strengthened further in Deogarh.
Among the prominent BJP leaders who joined the BJD are Rimal block president Nisani Behera, Baghbhar sarpanch Nalini Sahu, Utunia sarpanch JB Pradhan, Sasmita Sahu, Basant Kumar Gadnayak , Dhrubacharan Nayak and Arati Sahu, said a BJD release.
