Badminton Finale at Khelgaon
The all India badminton tournament organised by Postal Department, Jharkhand Circle concluded on high note on Friday. Khadi Board Chairperson, Sanjay Seth and other dignitaries graced the occasion on final day. Team event male trophy was clinched by Gujarat and in female Karnataka bagged the trophy in the same category.
Abstract Painting at Kalakriti School
Students at Kalakriti School learnt the techniques of abstract painting on Friday at Kalakriti School. Experts guided the students on how several waste materials available at home can be utilized in abstract painting and in crafting out different creative stuffs.
Unemployment allowance distributed in lohardaga
Twenty four workers of Kisko block of lohardaga were paid an unemployment allowance of Rs 40,748 for getting work under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) with delay of over a month. This amount, which was recovered from the Gram Rozgar Sewak (GRS), was distributed by the Deputy Development Commissioner, lohardaga in a programme organised by the block administration. The event was attended by many NREGA workers and functionaries from district and block.
NCC camp concludes at SST Tilaiya
The 10-day NCC camp concluded at Sainik School Tilaiya amid mesmerising performances and cultural programmes. Cadets learnt life saving, combating skills in hostile circumstances with all courage and confidence during the 10 days. On the last day a campfire was lit where in the direction of NCC officers A Mukherjee, Niranjan Upadhyay, Rajesh Kumar and Hindi teacher CM Pandey, students showcased beautiful performances.
