Two arrested Maoists sent to jail
Bishrampur Police in Palamu sent in two Maoists in judicial remand on Saturday. The two arrested Maoists, Upender Ram and Ramparvesh Yadav of Ajay Ji’s squad, were caught with Maoists posters. Police seized 30 posters which the two were going to flash during Maoist’s Shaheed Saptah which started from July 28.
AJSU review meeting for lohardaga
Central president of AJSU Sudesh Kumar Mahto on Saturday took a review meeting of structural position and situation of lohardaga District Committee of the party. He said that Jann Ki Baat campaign to get Domicile Policy amended will be started from Bhandara on 2nd August. It will be organised in Kudu on 3rd, Kairo on 4th, Peshrar on 6th, lohardaga on 7th and in Jingi which is also village of freedom fighter lalu Tana Bhagat on 8th of August. lohardaga District Council President Sunaina Uraon, Central Secretary Suraj Agrawal, District Spokesperson Kanwaljeet Singh were present.
Workshop for bus drivers, conductors
A workshop was conducted for the drivers and conductors on premises of DPS Ranchi on Saturday. The programme was organised by Ashok leyland and the resource personnel guided the conductors, drivers on various safety measures. As many as 60 drivers including conductors participated in the programme. Dr. Ram Singh, said, “Such programmes will be organised in future too.”
CMPDI hosts Gondwana TT Tournament
Two-day Gondwana Table-Tennis Tournament began at CMPDI’s Ravindra Bhawan on Saturday. CMD S Sharan inaugurated the tournament by playing a match in presence of senior CMPDI officials and sports enthusiasts. Remaining matches, semi-finals and finals will be played on Sunday.
OPS organises poetry competition
Students of junior wing of Oxford Public School (OPS) participated in the poetry competition organised on the school premises on Saturday. Students from KG to class V participated in the programme. Junior wing teachers and Principal appreciated the students and encouraged them to participate in such events in future too.
Swachhta, Hariyali Abhiyan concludes at DAV
Four days ‘Swachhta and Hariyali Abhiyan’ (Sanitation and greenery drive) organised by DAV Kapildev concluded with colourful cultural programmes ON Saturday. Chief Secretary, urban and housing Department, Arun Kumar Singh presided over the function. Singh appealed to the students to spare at least two hours for the environment.
