Dr Kalra nominated for BC Roy award
ROHTAK: Dr OP Kalra, Vice Chancellor of Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences, has been nominated for Dr. B.C. Roy National Award in the category of “To recognize the Merit of Eminent Medical Teacher”. Dr. Kalra, a well known Nephrologist, has taken several initiatives to improve healthcare facilities in the PGIMS Rohtak which include establishment of new operation Theater Complex and ICU block having 16 Modular/High End Operation Theatres, state of the art trauma centre, Mother and Child Block and implementation of Digital University and Hospital Information System and State of the Art CT Scan and MRI Scan facility under the Public Private Partnership mode. He is the recipient of state award conferred upon by Govt. of NCT of Delhi for outstanding achievements in the field of Medicine and Nephrology, Distinguished Academician and Researcher of the Year award by the Indo-US Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma and International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis award by International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis, USA.
