dividend cheque of Rs 8.10 cr presented to CM

Bhopal: A dividend cheque of Rs 8.10 crore was presented to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan by Chairman of State Mineral Development Corporation Shiv Chaube here on Wednesday.

It is the dividend for year 2014-15. Dividend worth 369 percent has been given on state government's share capital Rs 2.19 crore, which is about double compared to last year. He informed that dividend amounting to Rs 4.29 crore was given for year 2013-14. Corporation's MD Sheo Shekhar Shukla and Executive Director Tarun Rathi were present on the occasion.

 Rs 7.10 lakh cheque given to CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was presented a cheque of Rs 7.10 lakh by Chairman of Narmada-Jhabua Rural Bank KV Raghvendra here today. He informed that all officers and employees of the bank have donated their one-day salary towards relief to farmers. The bank has earned Rs 102 crore profit during year 2014-15.

 Policy to be framed for ads on highways

Bhopal: A policy would be framed for advertisements displayed on the sides of highways in the state. Under the policy, guidelines would be chalked out for hoardings, signboards etc on the sites of highways. Draft of the policy was approved at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh State Road Development Authority chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here today. PWD Minister Sartaj Singh and Chief Secretary Anthony DeSa also attended the meeting. Chouhan directed for continuous monitoring of roads' maintenance works. Better and modern arrangements should be made for collections at toll plazas. The meeting was informed that 21 out of 26 border check-posts being constructed by the Authority have been completed. Tenders have been floated for buildings of Ratlam, Shahdol and Vidisha medical colleges. Work of Sidhi-Singrauli 4-lane is in progress. ACS Finance AP Shrivastava, ACS Forests Deepak Khandekar, Principal Secretary PWD Pramod Agrawal, Principal Secretary Urban Development and Environment Malay Shrivastava, Secretary to CM Hari Ranjan Rao and MD of Road Development Authority Manish Rastogi also attended the meeting.

 Krishi Karman Award to madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: The trophy of Krishi Karman Award was conferred to Madhya Pradesh by the Central Government for maximum food grains production in the country was presented to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan by Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Gaurishankar Bisen at the cabinet meeting here on Wednesday. The Chief Minister congratulated all for this trophy. He also urged to make maximum efforts to implement strategy to double farmers' income in next 5 years. All members of the state cabinet and senior officers were present on the occasion.

 PR Minister condoles death of Prof Afaq Ahmad

Bhopal: Public Relations, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Rajendra Shukla has expressed profound grief over the death of eminent Urdu litterateur Prof Afaq Ahmad. In his message, Shukla said that late Prof Afaq's contribution to progress, development and promotion of Urdu language will always be remembered. Shukla has prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.

 Panna tiger reserve's website updated

Bhopal: Panna tiger reserve's official website www.pannatigerreserve.in has been updated for better information to tourists about the reserve. Entry ticket can be booked through www.mponline.gov.in by directly clicking on this website. Entire information about the tiger reserve can be obtained through column 'How to Visit Park' on the website. The website also contains information about forest cottages at Hinautiya and high level cottages and tents at Ranehfall. A short film on Panna tiger reserve has also been uploaded. Information about parks' vegetations, wildlife, translocation of tiger, ticket rates etc has been displayed on the website. Tourists can also send their suggestions to Panna tiger reserve through the website.

panel for appointment of Public Service Commission members

Bhopal: The State Government has constituted a committee headed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for appointment of Chairman and members of Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. Members of the committee include legislative Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra and Minister of State for GAD lal Singh Arya. Secretarial work of the committee will be done by Principal Secretary GAD.

 cabinet committee to enquire into firing incident

Bhopal: The State Government has constituted a cabinet committee to enquire into firing incident at village Gulsi under Bichhua police station in Chhindwara district on September 22, 2014. The committee will give its recommendations in the context of magisterial enquiry held into the incident. Home Minister Babulal Gaur has been appointed committee's Chairman. Its members include Forest Minister Gaurishankar Shejwar, Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya, legislative Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra and Higher Education Minister Umashankar Gupta.

 Guv addresses CMAI's third national convention

Bhopal: New energy has been generated among youths through qualitative improvements in education and innovation sectors and making available opportunities to youths to move forward. This youth energy needs to be used properly for development of the country and state. This was stated by Governor Ram Naresh Yadav while addressing CMAI's third national convention and award ceremony at Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya here today. The Governor distributed awards to 11 educational institutions. University's vice chancellor Prof Piyush Trivedi and Chairman of CMAI Association of India Prof NK Goyal were also present on the occasion. Governor Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh's contribution has been substantial in glorious history of India in education sector. He said that all educational institutions should make their best efforts to improve lives of students.

Chairman of CMAI Prof NK Goyal said that his institution with 48 thousand members worldwide and 54 MU partners is laying emphasis on education, telecom, IT and alternate energy. He said that the institution is going to introduce 'Sardar Patel Scholarship Scheme'. Vice Chancellor Prof. Trivedi delivered the welcome address. large number of educationists, teachers and students were present on the occasion.

Three killed in Road mishap

Sehore: Three people died on the spot and five were injured three of them grievously when a jeep overturned today on the Bhopal-Indore road 5 km from Ashta after the driver fell asleep at the wheel, police said. The deceased were identified as Naved, Tanveer and Yasiv. The serious cases were rushed to the Bhopal-based Hamidia Hospital and the rest were undergoing treatment in Ashta. Eight members of a Shujalpur-resident family were returning in the vehicle from neighbouring Gujarat's Morbi.
