After being scolded by his brother, a 19-year-old engineering student attempted suicide by consuming acid used for toilet cleaning at Siddharth lake City apartments under Piplani Police station area on Friday.
According to the police, Tanushree Pawar was rushed to a nearby hospital after she consumed acid used for toilet cleaning and where she was referred to Paliwal hospital, her condition in reportedly stable.
The girl is undergoing treatment at Paliwal hospital and her condition is reportedly stable.
SHO of Piplani Police Mahendra Singh Chouhan said that according to the information provided by the family member girl’s elder brother Umesh scolded her for not paying attention on studies on Thursday night. Angered over the same, later in the wee hours, she consumed acid.
Chouhan said that girl’s father works as driver while her brother had completed his engineering. S
She is pursuing her first year in engineering from RKDF College. Her brother Umesh scolded her for not paying attention towards her studies.
Police have not registered any case. In her statements girl told the police that her brother has scolded due to which she tried to commit suicide. Police said that the doctors have claimed that the condition of the girl is stable and possibly she would be discharged on Saturday.
