Nineteen mandis of the State will be linked with the Rashtriya Krishi Bazaar Yojna. This scheme is an electronic trading platform for the entire country. Under the scheme, the mandis of the State will be linked to various Krishi Upaj mandi samitis and mandi compounds of other States. Under the Rashtriya Krishi Bazaar Yojna, 50 mandis of the state has been selected including 34 mandis have been choosen as general mandis, 7 schedule caste mandis and 9 mandis as schedule tribe mandis.
A grant of Rs 7 crore 50 lakh has been given to the state by the union government under this scheme. An amount of Rs 30 lakh will be provided to each mandi to purchase necessary software, equipments and for infrastructure development for electronic platform.
Expenses as regard to operate portal will be borne by the krishi upaj mandi.
In the first phase, 20 mandis of the state have been linked to the Rashtriya krishi Bazaar yojna.
Karond mandi of Bhopal was linked with the e-mandi on April 14, 2016 as a pilot project which was dedicated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Vigyan Bhavan New Delhi and Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Gourishankar Bisen at Bhopal.
The selected 20 mandis have been identified for different items. The 100 percent trading is being done by the registered traders of Bhopal mandi on business portal. Mandis which are to be linked from September 29 will trade different items like Sehore, Betul, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Chhindwara, Satna and Rewa will do trading of Gram, whereas Vidisha, Pipariya, Ujjain and Jaora mandis are selected for Masoor.
Similary, Indore mandi has been selected for Moong and Ashoknagar, Damoh mandis for Tuar and Sagar mandi for Batri. These mandis will trade these items on portal with mandis of other states.
Appointments of analysts have already been done by the strategic partners in the mandis, where Rashtriya Bazzar Yojna is being implemented from today.
E-name and login password has been issued to the mandis and action to operate software has been initiated. Infrastructure development like computer, UPS, printer, lED grading lab, enrty gate, e-auction platform have been undertaken in these mandis.
