To serve the people in case of accident due to fire with the Diwali festivities on, 108 Ambulance has pulled up its socks. They have changed their positioning. As per the data of last eight years of Dewali festivals, road accident, fire and skirmishes happen during Deepawali. Such incidents happen between 6 pm to 12 pm. Those in charge of the service have been asked to be more alert in Dehradun, Haridwar, Rudrapur and Haldwani.
For Dehradun city, they have made slight changes in the positioning of ambulance.
To cope up with any exigency in Dehradun city, Ambulances will be stationed at 10 places- Survey Chowk, Jakhan, Rajpur Road, Premnagar Chowk, Suri Chowk, Race Course, Ring Road Chowk, iadpur, Rispana bridge and ISBT.
GVK EMRI 108 emergency service state head Manish Tinku said that during Deepawali their responsibility increases. “ We are making effort to serve more and more number of people during this year . For this we have cancelled all unnecessary leave of the staff,” he said.
