Uri martyr's family thanks Modi Govt for punishing Pak

Friday, 30 September 2016 | Mohit Kandhari | Jammu

Family members of Subedar Karnail Singh, martyred in the Uri terror strike on September 18, expressed their sincere gratitude on Thursday to the soldiers of the Indian Army and political leadership of the country for carrying out surgical strikes and destroying terror launch pads inside Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The family members also demanded that all the terror training camps operating on the Pakistani soil should be demolished and Pakistan be given a befitting reply.

Though close relatives and next of kin are still going through the period of mourning yet the news of surgical strikes on terror launch pads was greeted with lots of enthusiasm by the children of Subedar Karnail Singh. “It is for the first time I am feeling happy that our own Government has done justice and punished Pakistan for launching terror strikes and sponsoring terrorism against India”, Anmol Saini, elder son of Subedar Karnail Singh told mediapersons at his native village in Samba district.

His mother and wife of Subedar Karnail Singh, Geeta Devi urged the Narendra Modi- led BJP Government to demolish all the existing terror training camps across the  loC and deal sternly with Pakistan. “My husband’s soul will rest in peace only when all the terror infrastructure will be demolished”, Geeta Devi said.

Meanwhile, the State BJP unit on Thursday went into damage-control exercise on behalf of the State Government while announcing compensation of Rs 5 lakh each for two bravehearts from Jammu region who attained martyrdom on September 18 during deadly Uri terror strike on Army brigade headquarters.

Addressing the day-long working committee meeting of the party, State BJP chief Sat Sharma, in his address, said that the BJP stands with the bereaved families of Uri martyrs.
