Former Defence Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav hailed the Indian Army’s surgical strike in Pakistan occupied Kashmir saying that the country sponsoring terrorism should get a befitting reply like this.
Yadav also spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh over phone and told them that the whole country stood by them. “I told the PM that all political parties are on the same page on the question of national integrity,” he said.
The SP supremo said that the Indian Army is one of the greatest armies of the world and is capable of responding to such terrorist activities. Supporting the Army’s action Yadav said that time has come for India to take control of PoK.
In Agra, people distributed sweets and burnt crackers. In lucknow, Apna Dal activists burnt the effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
UP Congress president Raj Babbar said, “My party is with the Indian Army and supports its actions.”
