Full force damage: 7 terror launch pads hit

Friday, 30 September 2016 | PNS | New Delhi

Elite forces of the Indian Army hit at least seven terror launch pads across loC early on Thursday inflicting a major damage on the jehadis.

What are terror launch padsIJ They are forward staging points comprising hutments erected by the jehadist groups along the line of Control and the International Boundary (IB) and supported by the regular Pakistan Army where the terrorists stay before infiltrating inside Jammu & Kashmir.

While the terror training camps are located 10 km from the line of Control, the launch pads comprising four to five houses are located two to three km inside the loC. The fidayeens are lodged at these posts for four to five days where Army personnel are also based to motivate them. The jehadis are provided with currency, ration, guides, GPS sets and orientation training by terror motivators and weapons.

SSG, Army, old leaders of the terror groups like leT, JeM and HM and local terrorists and liason officer of the local Army units are also based. The functionaries of the Army, SSG and terror groups provide motivational training to the fidayeens advising them that they would be given a berth in the heaven after participating in the jehad against India.

From these staging posts, they are escorted by the guides and Army personnel to cross over to Jammu & Kashmir by negotiating and trekking the peaks. After crossing over to Jammu & Kashmir, the jehadis walk for a few kilomteres on their own and later on reach the designated points where local guides get in touch with them. The local guides provide them shelter for a few days before they carry out the attack at designated points after receiving orders from the terror commanders across the loC.
