Cong invites left, others for alliance in Bengal

Much as the Communist Party of India (Marxist) central committee did the Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee on Sunday formally invited “all secular democratic parties” to a formal alliance against the Trinamool Congress.

Quoting a communiqué signed by PCC president Adhir Chowdhury PCC member OP Mishra said “an appeal has been made to all the secular democratic parties including the left, Rashtriya Janata Dal, JJanata Dal (United) and others to form an alliance against the Trinamool Congress. This has been done with the consent of the parties top most leadership in Delhi.”
