A three-year-old girl was raped by her relative when she was dropped off at the accused person’s house by her parents as they had to go out for some work in South-East Delhi’s Govindpuri on Tuesday. Police said the girl’s medical reports confirmed rape.
Police said the accused is a 25-year-old man, who is absconding. The incident was reported at 2 am on Tuesday.
According to the girl’s statement to police, she said the man started to hit her first and then began raping her. When she tried to resist, he slapped and warned her of dire consequences if she tells anyone about the incident.
Police said that they are investigating the matter further.
In another incident, a 42-year-old man was arrested for raping a minor girl who happens to be his brother-in-law’s daughter in North-West Delhi’s Bharat Nagar area on Monday.
A case was filed by the father of a 10-year-old girl who was raped on August 17, a senior police officer said.
The victim’s family claimed that the accused also raped her on August 25, something which couldn’t be confirmed as there were contradictory statements from the family of the girl, the officer added.
