The ex-Delhi Health Secretary, Amar Nath of the AAP Delhi Government, who was abruptly removed from the post in February this year, has now been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for the period of five years by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet in the Central Government.
In the February, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain issued the order of his removal after Amar Nath, a 1994-batch IAS officer, applied for two-month leave from February 1 to April 1, 2016. Amarnath was reported to have miffed with the day-to-day interference of the Health Minister.
Soon after that, the Minister allotted the vacant post of Delhi Health Secretary to Delhi State Health Mission Managing Director Dr Tarun Seem, who is holding the post now.
