Police have rescued a 13-year-old boy nine days after he was kidnapped on his way to school in Meerut. Three persons, who had kept the boy hostage in Gurgaon, have been arrested. The accused include two software engineers and a girl. Police have recovered Rs 23 lakh ransom money, i-10 car and country-made pistols from their possession. They had demanded Rs 2 crore ransom money for the boy. The boy is under trauma as the kidnapper also assaulted him.
Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, Javeed Ahmed, said the accused have been identified as Tushar Jain (26) of Meerut, Prateek Jain of Jaipur and Aastha Vishwash of Kolkata. “Tushar has done B.Tech in Computer Science from RKGIT College, Ghaziabad and then he did three-year diploma courses in cyber security laws. Prateek has done B.Tech in Computer Science and diploma from london. Duo was working in Gurgaon,” the DGP said.
As they were not earning well, Prateek Jain, along with his associates, planned to kidnap his relative’s cousin.
Police said on February 19, the boy’s uncle Mayoor Jain, who owned the business of farmhouse and banquette hall in Meerut, filed a complaint that his cousin Atishay Jain (13) has gone missing since he left home to board the school bus.
The boy told police that his cousin brother Prateek Jain lured him in his car for dropping to school.
