Under Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Award scheme, the school students were given opportunity to portray their scientific ideas.
A science exhibition was organised at Zila school premises for the school students of various districts of Jharkhand depicted diverse innovative Ideas.
From waste management disposal model to biogas plant model, there were as many as 1000 stalls depicting the creativity of students.
JAC Chairman Arvind Singh, Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar, Mayor Asha lakra, District Education Officer Rajkumar Prasad Singh attended the inaugural ceremony at Zila school premises.
INSPIRE award scheme is a flagship programme of Ministry of Science and Technology which has five components covering entire range of education and research from class 6th to post graduate stage.
The first component of the INSPIRE Award programme recognises the talent among students at an early stage. Under the scheme, `5,000 is given to the students, who would utilize about 50 percent of the amount for making a science project/model and other 50 percent is utilized for bringing project/model at District level Exhibition Centre for display.
Addressing students and teachers, Mayor Asha lakra said, “Scientific ideas can bring change in society. Ideas can further be utilized for several purposes. Students constantly need to learn in order to keep pace with the changing world. Constant practice can further enhance the students’ skill.”
Every year under Inspire Award Scheme, various schools are invited to participate in Science exhibition competition organised at district level.
