Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in different departments and institutions, starting from October 26.
NHDC
The Week was observed in NHDC, Bhopal till Friday. On concluding day, PP Navlekar, lokayukta of Madhya Pradesh graced the occasion as chief guest. Different competitions like Debate, Poem Recitation, Poster Making and Slogan Writing were organized, among the employees, their family members and school children during the week to commemorate the occasion.
During the Prize Distribution Ceremony, lokayukta Navlekar shared his experience of Judiciary and advised not to break the queue for getting any work done to eradicate corruption from Indian society. He opined that not just for getting wrong things done but, corruption happens even to get right things done. According to him, RTI is one of the biggest achievements to mitigate corruption in Government level.
While addressing the audience, GP Patel, CED, NHDC explained about the necessity of Vigilance awareness in our routine office work and day-to-day life. He also informed that the CVC guidelines are honoured and implemented in day to day working of NHDC. BBN Subudhi, Chief Engineer (Vigilance) in his Welcome speech gave details of the activities undertaken by Vigilance Department in creating Vigilance Awareness amongst employees. The Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions held during Vigilance Awareness Week.
Bank of Baroda
The Bank of Baroda Zonal Office Bhopal is observing the Week from October 26 to 31. On October 26, Zonal Head Nagesh Shrivastava (General Manager) administered oath to all the staff members of Zonal Office. In his speech he delivered, that Vigilance has taken an important role for the development of the society and country. On this auspicious occasion Bl Gupta (D.G.M and Deputy Zonal Head), JK Mathur (DGM and Regional Head Bhopal Region) PlKulkarni (AGM and Deputy Regional Head Bhopal Region) were present along with all officers and staff members of Zonal Office. To create Vigilance awareness in the society, Bank of Baroda is going to organize various competitions for the students of the Colleges and other educational institutions along with the bank’s staff. Prakash Panigrahi (Chief Manager Vigilance) and Somendra Yadaw (Manger Ol) have played vital role to celebrate the vigilance week.
Allahabad Bank
To mark the vigilance week, the Allahabad Bank on Thursday organised a drawing competition on the topic ‘to fight with corruption is the need of time’ at St Theresa Girls Secondary School, Piplani. Whole programme was organised under the guidance of Sr Rosy, Principal of the school.
Students participated in the competition with interest and enthusiasm. In the prize distribution ceremony, on the same day, Harish Chandra Sati, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of the Bhopal zone, Allahabad Bank addressed the students of the school on the importance of awareness at workplace and personal life.
Shedding light on various aspects of uprooting corruption, Sati told the girls that they should be aware of the facts at this age only for the betterment of the country. He also congratulated students for their active participation in the programme.
Union Bank of India
To mark the Vigilance Awareness Week from October 26 to 31, the Union Bank of India organised foot march with the title ‘Visithon’ here in the city on Tuesday. The march started from the General Manager office of Union Bank, Arera Hills at 9.30 am and passing through the Reserve Bank, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Head Post Office and EOW Office, it returned to the GM office, Arera Hills.
The march was organised with an objective of awareness against corruption. General Manager of Bhopal region GR Padalkar, Deputy General Manager Vinayak V Tembhurney, Assistant General Managers RG Mishra, Bishan Das and Kiriti Banerjee, along with several officials and employees of the bank participated in the foot march.
